FOUNDERS
STORY
.

It all began with a collaboration between two doctors and three medical students who were scholars at the Healthcare Leadership Academy 2020/21. Emma Boxley reached out, seeking individuals experienced in mental health and well-being to create resources that could be shared with fellow students, including personal strategies that have proven effective. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we swiftly built an incredible online team and began our impactful Instagram campaign, featuring user-friendly resources and advice, and our website, which hosts a help hub for healthcare professionals seeking guidance and support.

Fueled by our passion and driven by our shared experiences, we expanded our team and we have created an environment where like-minded individuals come together, supporting one another on this important mission. In just a short time, we have proudly evolved into a national charity which was launched in 2021.

Today, our passionate team comprises over 20 dedicated volunteers and multiple teams spread across the UK. We actively engage in speaking engagements nationwide, raising awareness and advocating for the well-being of medical students.

In addition to our advocacy efforts, we are involved in numerous projects and collaborations directly with medical schools and societies, working towards our shared goal of promoting and prioritising the mental health of medical students.

Together, we are making a positive impact and striving to create a healthier and more supportive environment for medical students and our future clinicians.
